Biography

Dr Melanie Edwards graduated from the University of Queensland, in Brisbane, in 2002. Her pathology training was mainly at St Vincent's Hospital in Sydney. She completed her training in 2012, at which time she joined Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology’s Histopathology Department. Dr Edwards has special interests in cytopathology, as well as urological, gastrointestinal and head and neck pathology. She is a co-author on publications related to Barrett's oesophagus and oesophageal cancer research. She is chief of registrar supervision for anatomical pathology and enjoys teaching, holding an appointment as Adjunct Clinical Senior Lecturer at the School of Medicine, University of Notre Dame.
