Biography

Dr Sophie Corbett-Burns completed her medical degree at Trinity College, Dublin, during which time she was awarded a scholarship. She graduated with honours in 2007 and, after completing an internship in Dublin, she returned to Australia in 2009. Dr Corbett-Burns completed her training in anatomical pathology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology, including a six-month rotation in neuropathology at Royal Prince Alfred, and three-month rotations to Concord Hospital and Glebe Morgue. She received her Fellowship from RCPA in 2016, at which time she commenced as a Consultant Histopathologist at Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology. Her special interests include gynaepathology, breast pathology, neuropathology and gastrointestinal pathology.
