Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology, NSW’s premier pathology services provider, has contract positions available for Respiratory Screening Aides locally.

As a Respiratory Screening Aide, you will swab patients for COVID-19 in a variety of settings (including collection centres, aged care facilities and drive-through testing sites) and will frequently don and doff personal protective equipment (PPE). You will prepare specimens for testing at our central laboratory.

Successful applicants must be honest, reliable, able to work as part of a professional team, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also be required to complete a targeted training program. Previous experience is highly desirable, but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Prior to commencement, all successful applicants will be required to provide documentary evidence of the following: 

  • A current First Aid certificate (HLTAID011) 
  • Vaccinations, including Fluvax (as per our website)
  • A current driver's licence

The contract will be for a 3-month period. At the end of this period, there may be the possibility of an extension or progression into a permanent Pathology Aide position.
