Special interests: Paediatric biochemistry and metabolic disorders, particularly in diabetes and testing for insulin resistance.
Dr Tina Yen graduated from the University of Sydney in 1993 and trained in biochemistry at Royal Prince Alfred and Royal North Shore Hospitals from 1999 to 2004. After qualifying as a specialist chemical pathologist in 2005, she joined Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology. Dr Yen was chair of the NSW/ACT branch of the Australasian Association of Clinical Biochemists (AACB) from 2005 to 2006 and has an ongoing role in education and the professional development of scientists. She is interested in metabolic disorders, particularly in diabetes and testing for insulin resistance. Dr Yen also has a subspecialty interest in paediatric biochemistry.
