Dr Stephen Fairy is a graduate of Newcastle University and worked as a resident medical officer at John Hunter Hospital and a number of other hospitals in the Hunter area. He has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) degree from Charles Sturt University and trained in Anatomical Pathology at Concord Repatriation General Hospital and later at Westmead Hospital. Dr Fairy has held the position of Staff Specialist Pathologist at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and also worked in private pathology practice before joining Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology in 2003. He is currently Honorary Secretary of the Australasian Division of the International Academy of Pathology and serves on several advisory committees of the RCPA. Dr Fairy has a broad experience base; however his particular areas of interest are genitourinary pathology and dermatopathology.
