Dr Peter Kyle is a graduate of the University of Sydney. His residency at Prince of Wales Hospital included two haematology terms. This experience stimulated his interest in haematology, which he pursued by completing specialist haematology training at Charing Cross Hospital in London. Following his return to Australia in 1986, he spent periods at Newcastle Mater, Royal Newcastle, Prince of Wales and St George hospitals. From 1990 to 2006, he was Staff Specialist in Haematology at St George Hospital. Dr Kyle’s particular interests are in blood banking, coagulation and haemoglobinopathies. Dr Kyle is currently Adjunct Lecturer in Pathology at the School of Medicine, University of Notre Dame.
