Dr Jenny Turner graduated from the University of Sydney and was a resident at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, before training in anatomical pathology at the Royal Free Hospital, London, and St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. She was a Staff Specialist at Sydney Hospital for four years and then at St Vincent’s Hospital, providing diagnostic services to the Public and Private hospitals and St Vincent’s Clinic. She joined Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology in November, 2009. Dr Turner has experience, and has published papers, in a range of areas, including haematopathology, urological pathology, colorectal pathology (particularly the diagnosis of hereditary non-polyposis colon cancer), ENT/skull base pathology and surgical neuropathology. She is a member of the International Society of Urological Pathologists, is associated with the Garvan Institute prostate cancer research group and participated in the 2009 ISUP consensus conference on reporting of radical prostatectomy specimens. Her other special interest is in the area of diagnosis and classification of lymphoma, in which she provides a consultation service. She has worked with an Australian group of lymphoma experts who developed the NHMRC-approved Clinical Practice Guidelines for diagnosis and management of lymphoma in Australia (2005), and the Structured Reporting Protocol for Tumours of Haematopoietic and Lymphoid Tissue (2009). She is a member of the Histopathology Panel of the Australasian Lymphoma and Leukaemia Group and is on the international editorial board of the Journal of Haematopathology. Her current research interest is in the epidemiology and classification of lymphoma, in collaboration with Australian epidemiologists and through the InterLymph international collaboration of epidemiology
