Special interests: Anatomical pathology, cytopathology, urological pathology and bone and soft tissue pathology
After graduating from the University of Sydney with first class honours, Dr Fiona Maclean worked as a resident medical officer at Concord Repatriation General Hospital, where she was awarded Intern of the Year for 1999. She trained in anatomical pathology, primarily at Westmead Hospital, with additional rotations to St Vincent’s Hospital and The Children’s Hospital, Westmead, as well as to Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology. Dr Maclean has a broad range of interests within anatomical pathology and cytopathology, with special interest in genitourinary pathology and osteoarticular pathology, in particular. She continues an active interest in ongoing research and teaching and is currently involved in a number of research projects. Currently, she is a Senior Lecturer in Pathology at the School of Medicine, University of Notre Dame, and convener of the Urology module for the RCPA Quality Assurance Program.
